Lompoc was
well represented this past weekend at All Star Section Playoffs in
Bakersfield.
We sent 6 teams;
-
U10 Girls, Coach Joaquin
Paz;
-
U10 Boys, Coach Carlos
Ochoa;
-
U12 Girls, Coach Ben Reyes;
-
U12 Boys, Coach Greg
Navarro;
-
U14 Girls, Coach Jose
Acosta; and
-
U14 Boys, Coach Mark Murray.
AYSO Section 10 spans north to
Paso Robles inland to Fresno, down south to San Bernardino County, to the
coast out to Malibu and up the coast back to Paso Robles. In each division
within the section there were approximately 300+ plus teams.
Three of our six teams
qualified to play in the semi-finals on Sunday, March 3rd. The
U14 Boys came out in 3rd place, the U12 Boys come in 3rd place and the U14
Girls came in first place. By taking first place at Section Playoffs our U14
girls will be representing Lompoc at AYSO State Games on March 18th in
Cathedral City, CA. They will be competing against 3 other finalist from the
State for the AYSO State championship.
