Lompoc has been honored with the privilege
of participating in the AYSO National Games July 2012; the games will be
played in Knoxville, Tennessee. The National Games shall offer an
opportunity to bring together different Regions and Sections to share in the
diverse soccer culture of the AYSO family. This occasion focuses on
sportsmanship, team spirit and making new friends through the activities and
events that are offered during this weeklong event.
Lompoc will be well represented by a U-12 Boys team;
these energetic and highly motivated young men are all working very hard to
learn the responsibilities and dedication required to achieve their goal. We
hope to instill a sense of pride, responsibility, and accomplishment, as
these will be lifelong traits that will benefit them for many years to come.
These young men are all very active with various sports, organizations, and
schools in the community and you may recognize them as neighbors, students,
and teammates.
As you may know, AYSO is a non-profit organization that
strives to provide a fun, quality program for our youth to enjoy the game of
soccer. To ensure we provide these opportunities we rely on the generosity
of our community and local businesses for donations to assist with our
fundraising efforts. These donations and fundraisers will help with the
players travel, lodging and meal costs; we do our best to ensure we keep
costs to a minimum. Any amount you personally and/or your business is
willing to donate will help us meet our goal.
